Roses of Fairhope

If you’ve not spent time around the rose garden at the Fairhope pier lately, the roses and other flowers have quite a show to offer. City landscape crews are seen on these grounds frequently, and their work shows. Much of the credit for the garden’s beauty rests with Tim Kant, who went to work in 1983 as the city’s first horticulturist and developed landscapes around the city, including flowers at street corners. Kant, for whom the rose garden and fountain were formally named last month, served as Mayor for sixteen years…
