5th Annual Barnwell Crawfish Derby

A traditional crawfish boil with live music and plenty of celebration is planned for the 5th Annual Barnwell Crawfish Derby, to be held APR 18th 2026 at Oak Hollow Farm in Fairhope from 5pm until 10. Everyone’s invited with a suggestion to bring lawn chairs.

The feast will include all-you-can-eat crawfish, along with potatoes, corn and sausage. Chicken and sausage gumbo will also be served.5th Annual Barnwell Crawfish Derby

Sponsored by the Barnwell Community Organization, the event is designed to raise money to help restore Barnwell’s community center, a landmark that has stood for 108 years and is said to be one of the few wooden schoolhouses that still stand in Baldwin county. Volunteers have already been at work restoring the structure. Community members say they want the Center to be a gathering spot for community events and for future generations to enjoy.5th Annual Barnwell Crawfish Derby

A cornhole tournament and Derby Duck Drawdown are also among activities planned.
