Crabs And Rice Snacks Aboard

Maersk Finisterre, an 869 foot by 124 foot container ship sailing under the flag of Singapore, passes Gaillard Island on its way into the port of Mobile Wednesday morning. With a draught of 34 feet, the ship moves at 11 mph while finishing a voyage from Houston. According to ship manifests, Maersk Finisterre’s cargo includes around 110 tons of Thai parboiled rice, about 22 tons of spicy habanero crispy crab snacks, wakame seaweed and matcha tea, and around 22 tons of sodium tripolyphosphate plus electric motors, glaze stoneware dinnerware sets, office chairs and wooden furniture bedroom sets.
