Army Black Hawk Over Fairhope

A US Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk passes over Fairhope MAY 5th 2026. Built to operate in the toughest of battlefield conditions, more than 5,000 Hawk aircraft have been produced for 36 nations. Especially adept at air assault, Black Hawks can carry up to twelve troops with gear or 9,000 pounds of supplies and ammunition. Firefighting, search and rescue and special operations are additional missions the Black Hawk performs. Variants of the Black Hawk include the MH-60T Jayhawk, used heavily by the Coast Guard and the MH-60R Seahawk, used by the Navy for anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare.
