No shortage of wind on Mobile Bay APR 12th 2026 for the final day of the Performance Regattas Fast Eddie Cup, a competition featuring Birdyfish foiling sailboats. Elevation of the boat reduces drag, increasing speed. If you missed getting to see the foiling, you’ll have another chance. This weekend’s regatta is one of two such events planned for Fairhope. The second competition is set for JUN 26th-28th. Up to fifteen teams of two people will be able to compete for a prize of $15,000. The Birdyfish has a top recorded speed of 27 knots or 31 mph.
