Fairhope Elks Keep Growing

More than a dozen eastern shore area residents sign up to join Elks Lodge 1879 during October. That’s in addition to twenty one new members who joined in September. The Elks is a private, benevolent organization whose members regularly launch projects to help people in need. Playing bingo to raise money to fight cancer, manning a food station for a benefit bicycle ride and helping residents of the Willliam F. Green State Veterans Home are just a few of recent activities the Fairhope Elks have undertaken. The four cardinal virtues of the Elks are Charity, Justice, Brotherly Love and Fidelity. Elks have a lot of just-plain-fun events on their calendar, too.
