Southern Bayou Grill Opens

The first customer shows up before opening time, but Chef Perry Boyd doesn’t mind. He tells him to come on in. Getting to the point of being able to open a business has not been easy for the Mississippi native and partner Barbara Edwards. They tried to open their Cajun convenience store on S Mobile St in Fairhope earlier in the year but ran into so much red tape that they had to look elsewhere. But the dream of bringing Cajun seafood creations to the eastern shore never wavers. Perry and Barbara’s dream comes true on JUN 27 2025: Southern Bayou Grill opens for business at the old Grill 32 location at 11950 Hwy 32, about two miles east of Hwy 181.
