VIVA Test Flight Over Fairhope

A new Airbus A320 passes over the eastern shore during a test flight MAR 23 2026. Having moved away from flying Boeing 737s, the low-cost airline Viva now operates an all-Airbus fleet as of earlier this year. In addition to its heavy use of the A320, Viva signed an agreement to buy 90 larger A321neo aircraft which will be used to fly higher demand routes across Mexico. Last December, Viva Aerobus and Volaris signed an agreement to merge, effectively creating Mexico’s largest domestic carrier. The deal allows both airlines to continue operating as separate brands.
