Thanksgiving for the community in Fairhope

Giving back to the community: A large turnout for Thanksgiving for the Community, a free opportunity to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal at Fairhope’s VFW Post 5660. Facility manager Kerry Lambert says newcomers showed up, as well as repeat visitors from previous Thanksgiving meal offerings. Food for the event was donated by Austal USA in Mobile and Publix. Members of the cooking group Fat Boys Grilling cooked twelve turkeys and four hams for the meal. Lambert says she hopes the event will continue to grow each year…
