Teak House Thai Cuisine
Is Teak House Thai Cuisine in Daphne a changed place? Colleen and I find out during a dinner stop JUN 26 2025. When we dined here last fall, the place had just reopened after closing for nearly five months while moving into a new building. Chaotic service and other problems needed working out. While our dining experience back then didn’t go well, we had enough good food and good service history with Teak House to know that they would work the kinks out. Based on our latest visit, that’s exactly what Teak House has done.
The restaurant isn’t busy, and we are seated quickly by friendly staff. The menu is huge, almost guaranteeing something for everyone. Still, we can’t resist old favorites. We start with an order of three spring rolls ($6.95), which don’t take long to come out. They’re hot, flavorful and offer a good start to the meal. We’re surprised and pleased at how quickly our entrees show up–in fact, we’re still working on the spring rolls when Bobbie, our server, brings my Sweet Chili Stir-Fry with shrimp ($16.95) and Colleen’s Peanut Sauce Lover’s ($14.95).
Both of our entrees are well prepared. The peppers and other ingredients are fresh and deliver the same tastes we came to enjoy during previous visits. Colleen is pleased with her entree, as well. Our total without tip winds up at $40.41 if paid with cash. Teak House used to charge the same if using cash or credit card, but that changed after moving to the new location. Cash gets you a 3% discount.

Located at 1703 US Hwy 98 Suite J, Teak House’s new location is only a few steps from its previous spot. You won’t see the restaurant or even a sign from the road. Pull in where you see the Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery shop, and you’ll find Teak House in back.
The new restaurant’s interior is clean and the atmosphere pleasant. Overall, we find our meal satisfying and filling. That, coupled with good service, means Teak House will be seeing us again.
