Poseidon Over fairhope

A US Navy Boeing P-8 Poseidon passes over Fairhope’s Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education while on a training flight MAR 23 2026. Captured about 1,800 feet up, the aircraft moves at a ground speed of 187 knots or 215 mph while lining up to practice a touch-and-go landing at Brookley Field in Mobile. Known for its long range maritime reconnaissance and warfare capabilities, at least one Poseidon is reported to have been flying missions over the Strait of Hormuz.
