Pool And Catfish For VFW Post
A lot of catfishing goes on at Fairhope’s VFW Post 5660 JAN 24th 2026, but no deceit is involved–just sales of fresh catfish plates, while, at the same time, a pool tournament raises money for the Post. The local cooking group Fat Boys Grilling prepares the fish, along with fries and hushpuppies. At the same time, the Post hosts the Fast 8 Chips pool tournament, with participants paying an entree fee that goes to the facility.
Post Manager Kerry Lambert says the building is in need of a new roof along with other structural repairs and says cost is expected to approach $60,000.
