Park Upgrades Nearing Finish

Workers spend OCT 24th 2025 laying sod across the final areas of South Beach park as one of the final stages of the Working Waterfront project underway for over a year. The contractor says the entire park will be open to the public by Thursday. Final installation setup for the new restrooms is Monday. It’s possible that the park might open before Thursday, but the contractor says that’s assuming that rain in the forecast for the weekend doesn’t cause complications. Don’t expect the new ramp and stairs also planned at South Beach to open until late February. That’s because of how long the manufacturer is taking to fabricate the ramp. As soon as the ramp shows up, the contractor says they’re ready to install it.
