One magnificence pulls in

What’s aboard will make cats, gardeners and cool air fans happy: One Magnificence, a 990 foot by 142 foot container ship sailing under the flag of Marshall Islands, arrives at the port of Mobile Monday afternoon. With a draught of 36 feet, the ship moves at 12 mph while finishing a two day trip from Houston. According to ship manifests, One Magnificence carries twelve tons worth of gas grills, around 76 tons of glass fiber reinforced polyamide (which, as everyone knows, is also known as glass-filled nylon, used in the manufacture of auto parts and other items), about twelve tons of office stationery, roughly 18 tons of climbing stairs for cats, about 3.5 tons of aluminum patio furniture, more than sixty tons worth of indoor and outdoor units for air conditioning, plus galvanized panel garden beds, cable clips, blower motors and parasol swing chairs.
