One Maestro’s Arrival in Mobile

One Maestro, a 990 foot by 142 foot container ship sailing under the flag of Singapore, passes Gaillard Island while heading into the port of Mobile Tuesday morning. With a draught of 41 feet, the ship moves at 10 mph while finishing a two day trip from Houston.

According to ship manifests, One Maestro carries around 125 tons of solar panels, nearly 19 tons of upholstered beds, about 18 tons of garden hoses and nearly seven tons worth of wooden and metal caskets plus engraving machines, worm compost boxes, climbing rope, chairs, sofa beds, swing canopies, storage racks, plastic mats, and car seats. Nearly all of the ship’s contents were loaded in China.
