Its Texas livery with white star clearly visible over the eastern shore, Southwest Airlines flight 1231 passes over McMillan Bluff in Daphne Thursday afternoon while on a flight from Austin to Tampa. Captured at an altitude of 36,325 feet or 6.8 miles, the Boeing 737 moves at a ground speed of 522 knots or 600 mph during the roughly one hour fifty minute flight. The aircraft’s design is reminiscent of the Texas state flag, with the engines painted red and blue with red waves down the back half of the fuselage with white on top.
