Local Restaurateur Steps Back
Restaurateur John Lozano, a familiar face to many customers at Two Sisters Bakery & Deli on S Mobile St, has left Fairhope. Lozano and co-owner Tammy Clevenger opened the place in 2011 and over the ensuing years, built a strong following among fans of their sandwiches, paninis, beignets, cookies and more.
Lozano left earlier this month to return to Oklahoma where he has family, including grandchildren, Clevenger says. He remains a part owner of Two Sisters, but Clevenger has taken over day-to-day operations of both the Fairhope and Daphne locations.
If you’re a fan of any of Two Sisters’ large selection of breakfast and lunch foods and treats, Clevenger says not to worry, because the menu won’t change. Ideas are under consideration to possibly expand Two Sisters’ service hours, but Clevenger says that’s still in the planning stages.
