Lawsuit Settlement Overruled

Remember the National Association of Realtors lawsuit and settlement that took effect in August of 2024? Effective April 18, 2025, the state of Alabama has ordered that the settlement–which requires Buyers to sign documents before viewing property–is superceded by HB230, a new state law. In direct contrast to what the NAR settlement requires, the new law specifically prohibits Buyers from being required to sign documents before viewing a property. Our video has details.
