Final Ride Amid The Beauty

As he had requested, the procession for Fairhope Mayor James P. Nix passes around the rose garden and municipal pier following his service OCT 18th 2025. Nix, who died OCT 14th at age 88, served seven consecutive terms as Fairhope’s Mayor, from 1972 until 2000. Nix is credited for having the vision to turn Fairhope into a place of beauty and for hiring a horticulturist to help turn the idea into reality.
