Ever Superb Heads For Panama

Ever Superb, a 984 foot by 140 foot container ship sailing under the flag of Singapore, leaves Mobile Bay Thursday morning, bound for the Panama Canal. With a draught of 40 feet, the ship moves at 13 mph while starting what’s planned as a four day trip. According to ship manifests, Ever Superb carries nearly 68 tons of parts for Hyundai vehicles, almost 12.5 tons of clothing washers and dryers, roughly 40 tons of coated paper and around 83 tons of nonwoven fabrics plus transformer parts, pneumatic tires and hinge assemblies.
