CMA CGM Rhone, a 984 foot by 158 foot container ship sailing under the flag of Malta, pulls into the port of Mobile FEB 15th 2026. With a draught of 41 feet, the ship moves at 14 mph while finishing a three day voyage from Houston. According to ship manifests, CMA CGM Rhone carries nearly fifteen tons worth of childrenโ€™s toys, about 22 tons of pet doors, around 5.5 tons of school supplies plus curtains, playground equipment and roughly 23 tons worth of hexamethylenetetramine*, used in plastics, pharmaceuticals, explosives and even as a food additive in some countries (though not approved in the U.S.).
