Carrying Tilapia and Cat Toilets
CMA CGM Attila, a 1,099 foot by 140 foot container ship sailing under the flag of Malta, passes Middle Bay Lighthouse as it enters the Gulf on a day’s voyage to New Orleans on AUG 31 2025. With a draught of 39 feet, the ship moves at 13 mph. According to ship manifests, CMA CGM Attila includes more than 84 tons of frozen tilapia filets, around three and a quarter tons worth of red panda snoozimals, about 21 tons of water slides, more than thirteen tons of LED pendant lights, roughly 22 tons of epoxy diacrylate (a liquid used in coatings and inks), more than nine tons worth of cat toilets and around twelve and a half tons of trash cans, jewelry and mirrors. Documents show most of the cargo was loaded in China. Photo by Sonny Kearley…
