barbecue With Fairhope Elks

Skilled hands and teamwork are needed to pull off the annual barbecues held Labor Day, Memorial Day and the Fourth of July by members of Fairhope’s Elks Lodge 1879. The food offerings are just part of what the Elks Lodge is all about. This year, we get a look behind the scenes as Lodge member Danny Pulliam and crew get ready to serve ribs, chicken and pulled pork. Plates are sold to the public, with all revenue going to the Lodge for its many community service activities. Fairhope’s Elks Lodge is located at 561 S Mobile St, across the street from Mobile Bay. Though a private organization, annual food sales are open to the public. The Elks is always looking to expand membership.
