Allegiant Air Expands Service

An Allegiant Air Boeing 737 passes over Fairhope NOV 17th 2025 while finishing a flight from Northwest Arkansas National Airport to Gulf Shores.
At a time when some commercial airlines are cutting routes and employees in an effort to survive, Allegiant Air is doing just the opposite, with Gulf Shores set to see some of the biggest expansion in air service.
Based in Las Vegas, the low cost carrier says Gulf Shores will get five new routes beginning next year. From May until August, summer air service to Gulf Shores will be available from Huntsville, Louisville, Omaha, Springfield and Oklahoma City, with each route operating multiple times a week. The expansion means that Allegiant will be providing thirteen nonstop routes. The most frequent service–Oklahoma City to Gulf Shores–will operate three flights per week.
Other cities Allegiant will serve from Alabama’s Gulf coast at different times next year include:
Knoxville TN
Cincinnati OH
Appleton WI
Des Moines IA
St. Louis MO
Kansas City MO
Bentonville AR
