Airbus Test flight over Fairhope
Bound for Mexico at some point: A new Airbus A321neo passes over Point Clear while lining up to land at Brookley Field in Mobile during a test flight at mid day Friday. The A321neo represents a new generation of passenger aircraft that is seeing high demand in part because of its fuel efficiency and range capability. Nearly 300 of these airplanes are in service with American Airlines, the largest operator of the A321. But this aircraft will be heading south once it’s released to go in service. Among domestic airlines in Mexico, Volaris leads the way with a 42% market share. Volaris flies between Mexico City, Monterrey, Cancun and Guadalajara, among other locations.
