A Tasteful Way To Say Thanks

The ribeyes and filets sizzle on the grill at Fairhope Elks Lodge 1879 the night of FEB 10th 2026. The people enjoying a delicious meal prepared by Lodge members are volunteers including U.S. Marines who help run the eastern shore’s Toys for Tots program.
Each year, Toys for Tots collects toys to be donated to area families in need and delivers them to different organizations around the area, including the Elks Lodge. Elks members then sort the toys into age and gender appropriate groups and prepare them for distribution to recipients. Last year, 140 kids around the eastern shore receive toys as a result of the Elks’ program.
Lodge leaders say the program wouldn’t be possible without the work of Toys for Tots volunteers. The steak dinners–complete with salad, baked potato and trimmings–are the Elks’ way of saying, “thank you for what you do.”
